Classroom Storytelling

This is your chance to shine a light on the magic of classroom learning! The Classroom Storytelling category celebrates the everyday moments of wonder, growth, and connection that unfold in educational settings. Whether it’s a heartwarming story of a student’s progress, a humorous classroom mishap, or a thought-provoking experience, this category invites you to capture the essence of your classroom community - whether in K-12 education or Higher Education (HE).

  • Authentic, real-life experiences: Focus on classroom moments that showcase the impact of teaching and learning. For K-12, this could be a breakthrough moment for a student who has struggled with a particular subject. In HE, it might be a student's transformation through a challenging research project or an inspiring internship experience.

  • Highlight growth and connection: Share moments where students grow, connect, or overcome challenges. In K-12, this could be a student learning to collaborate in group activities. In HE, it could be a student developing critical thinking skills through discussions in a seminar or forging relationships with peers and professors through collaborative research.

  • Personal relationships and creativity: For K-12, your story might showcase a teacher's efforts to support a student’s emotional or academic growth. In HE, consider telling a story about mentorship, where a professor’s guidance helps a student discover their passion or career path, or the creative ways students collaborate on academic projects or in extracurricular activities.

  • Variety of educational experiences: Keep your story personal and relatable. In K-12, it might reflect a school’s commitment to supporting diverse learning needs. For HE, this could involve an international student’s journey or an innovative course design that challenges students to engage in a global context.

  • Inspiration and insights: Videos should aim to inspire educators across both K-12 and HE settings. Share valuable insights that demonstrate how educators make a difference—whether that’s by helping a K-12 student build self-confidence or by guiding an HE student to see the real-world impact of their academic studies.

Video length: Please keep your video under 10 minutes to ensure it remains concise, impactful, and engaging.
